Motivated Winners of the Principal's Award - July 29th to August 3rd

We had always known that rewarding always motivated change. Now we are witnesses of the same as we see the children at our school make such wonderful efforts to be recognized for their good characters and acts.

I really appreciate all the teachers too who keep a look out to "catch them in the act", as we call it. Sometimes children can do negative things to get attention, so the teachers are now encouraged to notice them doing positive things and pay attention to it. One way is to give them a Principals award. Therefore, we have started seeing some wonderful improvement in attitude in the students.

Here are the recent ones!

Wednesday, July 31, 2013

On 26th of July, the entire school was involved in trips taken out. Interestingly and for the first time, not everyone went in the same direction. Students were taken in 3 different directions.

The children from Junior KG, Senior KG, 1st and 2nd were taken for a picnic at the Hill Garden, which is an amusement park in Bhuj.

The students of the 3rd, 4th and 5th standards were taken on an educational and fun trip to the Parle Biscuit manufacturing factory, which is a very popular and premium children confectionery manufacturer in India.

Lastly the 6th, 7th and 8th students were taken on a longer trip to the Shree Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial also known as Kranthi Teerth, a memorial for the people who took part in the struggle for Indian independence. This goes in hand with the theme of the school this first semester - "Independent India". As a treat in addition, this group of students were also taken to the beach side in Mandvi. Some of students came up to me and said "Sir, this is a very memorable trip for us, thank you so much." They were happy! That's what mattered, at the end of the day.

School Day Function

What an amazing evening it was! I sat there watching how much these children have grown in confidence and character. They put up a wonderful show for their parents. Each parent's face was aglow with pride as they saw their children performing in the stage with such confidence. In some cases I was astonished that certain children were capable of such performance.

I am sure you will enjoy the photos:
