Children's Day out

A new practice has begun in our school. We have planned to take the 5th standard children out weekly once during one session of Wednesday. This outing would enable the children in communication skills, refresh their minds, act as a source of information exchange, also as a practical lesson session.

The first trip was to a tea shop about half a kilometer away from the school. We all had tea and biscuits and a lot of fellowship. Lessons on road safety, agriculture & many other small talk was part of the fellowship.

Tree Saplings Planted

Volunteers from the Parle company came over to the school campus to plant 50 Neem tree saplings. A fine gesture, since trees are what we need to sustain this planet from an early death. The students at school got few lessons on eco-balance; as the 40 strong volunteers, mostly workers of the factory took time off to come and plant the saplings. Their efforts would bear fruit and in years to come we shall see it.
